A litre and a half is plenty for a day on the trails and 3 litres is good for a day at camp, pack it with ice cubes when the temperature soars. As per Nalgene normal, the unit is almost unbreakable and compatible with any wide-mouth accessory or purification solution. The lid is water tight and unloseable thanks to the iconic loop top.
